Senryu…three for today

These three senryu were just published in the March issue of faileD haikU, a Journal of English Senryu, Volume 1, Issue 3, edited by Michael Rehling.

    • The last one is based on a conversation with a six year old student I taught years ago. The kids were doing some end of day work and chatting quietly as they finished up. Out of the blue, he made a statement pretty similar to the poem. It’s what made me love teaching little kids…the fresh and imaginative way they view the world and life. Nothing quite like it. 🙂
