Three poems (two haiku and one tanka) were published in the winter issue of Kokako, 2021. I have a real fondness for this journal because I love all things Kiwi. New Zealand is a beautiful country with such great people. They have a very active poetry community, and Kokako is a beautiful journal to be part of.

I love these. I lived two years in New Zealand at one, mostly north shore of Auckland. Loved it there.

Ah, how lucky you are. I’ve visited there and found it to be all I’d hoped for. That was 21 years ago.

For me it was 50 years ago. I had intended to live the rest of my life there but I couldn’t escape Victoria (Canada). All according to The Plan……

Beautiful poems, all of them.
The zinnias are a riot of color. How exuberant!
