One tanka published in:
cattails, October 2018 Issue
The Official Journal of the United Haiku and Tanka Society
told not to tell
or be a bother
a child soon finds
a world of her own
silence

In that silence, poems are born.
I urge all of you to read the full issue of cattails, which you can download as a pdf here: http://cattailsjournal.com/currentissue.html
Oh Wow….yes, very familiar.

Lovely, Mary. I’m sure many of us children were told not to tell when told things by a parent or hearing about problems of relatives. I know I took it very seriously. —- Suzanne

Mary, I’ve connected so clearly to this tanka, as many probably has. Thank you for posting your tank.
